Lessons
Lessons are based in my home Guitar Teaching Studio in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and Rhythm Monkey Music in Pickering, North Yorkshire. Both studio’s are well equipped with a range of instruments and teaching aids including computer based learning and recording software. Where appropriate I use modern music technology including music software programmes, to aid learning songs, techniques and improvisation.
Method
I am a believer in Student centered learning. This means the lessons are structured around what you wish to achieve. During your first lesson I will establish your playing level and discuss your goals. It is important to me that you get what you want out of a lesson whether it is studying for graded exams, wanting to learn to improvise, working on songs or having fun. Lessons are given on a one-to-one basis and tailored to your requirements. |

As a songwriter, I am also happy to aid in songwriting looking at musical structure, use of chords, arrangements etc.
I can also offer tuition in ICT (MS Office from entry level to level 3, Dreamweaver, Pro Tools LE, Acid Pro etc).

What you will need
Ideally you will own an electric or acoustic guitar. You will also need to purchase books from time to time. These can be purchased through Rythm Monkey. |
